This fat little thing on my Thanksgiving cactus?
Is this a seed pod?
Thats a seed pod..its not ripe till it gets bigger and turns a deep rose pink color! will have tiny teeeny itbity seeds in it!
LOL
Cool!! I've never seen one before.
Playing bee must have paid off then. I pollinated the blooms with a paint brush. I have another coming on a different plant but it's smaller.
Eclipse do you know how long they take to grow from seed?
I'm looking for it????? can you point out the location of the seed pod..this I gotta see! Elaine
Rosalaine! the seed pot is that yellow thing.....looks death leaf....
Now, I think I've maybe seen one of these! looks like a miniature Star Fruit? E. thankyou, Mi
yes...little bit of..
no problem...
Thank you for reminding me. I just went back to check, my yellow one has TWO seeds pods on it! I knew that it had one, but the second one is a surprise. It's in a spot that's reachable for watering, but not easy to see the whole plant.
Thanks, Kyle, for posting pics of yours before Christmas. You talked me into buying mine!
WOW.. I never know they do have seed pod! LOL.. I have four of Christmas catus.. Now I know they do!
so a paint brush is a sex aid?
Now, there must be seeds inside the pod and would you wait to dry them or???? Elaine You had me running down to my greenhouse, checking out all the cactus...you know who would know more on this, would be Norma (crassualady2, from the Cactus Forum).
