Woah, that is GORGEOUS!!! I wanna know all your secrets!! :)
We don't do anything special with it. It might be our magic soil. :-)
Dear Delli:
You have such a beautiful wisteria. I hope to obtain a cutting from you to plant in my yard, since I was told propagation from seeds takes years to bloom. How could we arrange a trade or a purchase?
Thanks
PCK
Just gorgeous!
My god, I have been killing them. They grow wild here in zone 8 in coastal N. C. They are beautiful in a contained place, but like fire, will spread if not in a contained place. N.C. has the Chinese Wisteria as a nuisance pest plant. I am having a nightmare with its spreading to non-wanted places. i did not plant them, they seem to grow in wild unattended lots here.
If you tell me how to send you shoots, let me know. I will be glad to send them to you. SASE, of course.
They don't grow wild here because it is too dry, but I can see how they could become a pest in the right climate. They must have been very popular here in the days of yore. All the old historic adobe houses seem to have them.
