I planted this last year in my friend's yard as a small plant in a 5 gallon pot. It flowered all winter! It is in rocky soil that hardly had any soil in it. It must have some good stuff under all those rocks for it sure has grown. It is never fertilized or any special care given.
Taken today!
Lovely!
WoW ! Thanks Lovely
Kell will you be my best friend? That is just out of this world pretty.
That is a beauty Kell! Thanks for teasing me! Want to see a picture of my naked sticks?? LOL
Thanks for sharing and brightening our days.
Ya did well Kell!!!!
If this was taken today THATS IT!I'm tossin my boots in the truck and headin west!If I don't smell a Brug soon I'll go nuts!!!Put the coffee on Kell!I may drive all night,I'll give you some tips while I'm there,(the roots go down,LOL)
This one is very common here. A local chain hardware store sells them for about $12 in a 5 gallon pot, along with a light pink and a double white. They grow huge. I had 3 of these growing but they take up too much room in my small garden! It is sold as a yellow. I wonder if it is a CG. Where I planted it, it will be able to grow as big as it wants.
We had such a mild winter Root, that most brugs had no frost die back, and will be huge and bloom heavily early. I think my yard had the worst frost damge I have seen, and that was mostly located in my back yard in the corner.
Very beautiful indeed. Those flowers remind me of the River Walk here in San Antonio where one can generally find at least on of their many Brugmansia hybrids in bloom. I spotted several seedpods on one Brugmansia hybrid last time I was there, but unfortunately...they were too high up to pick. Mostly yellows to oranges from what I have seen so far. I sure wish they would grow some darker pink types personally.
Gorgeous Kell!
wow kell, isnt that just spectacular? very nice indeed!
thanks for brightening up my day
Wish it was in my yard....I wouldn't care how big it got.
Not Fair, how did you get summer already?
That's just too pretty!
Looks like a CG to me Kell, I need one of those... Hint, hint, twist.... I have Dr. Suess out the wazoo. Stunning Kell, you are very lucky to have had this to look at all winter. I had a E.Pink and V.Peach blooming in the winter house last week. They want to come OUTSIDE NOW!
Kell, you are driving us all a little nuts, the rest of us outside California and Florida are just itching to play in the dirt but you just make us so impatient.
Congratulation on photo of the day too. Hugs, Joann
