Good Morning everyone!

Ruth I was just catching up on all the posts. I really feel for your son and will pray for him. AS a parent, it is so hard to watch our kids go through something like this.

It has been so busy around here and there seems to be so much to do. For example, last night I had to stop and pick up dh's blood pressure medicine after work. I had to wait because it wasn't ready (grumble, grumble - "someone" didn't call it in until the last minute) so I decided to go pick up groceries. Store was packed and crazy because they were running some great specials. I got home at 5:45 and then had to go outside and hold the gate while dh fed silage to the cows and sheep. The cows absolutely love the corn silage. You can almost hear them say "yum yum". I also have to occasionally shoo the new calves out of the way. The cows move for the tractor but the calves don't always move. Anyway, it was 7 before I got back into the house. Luckily I had some frozen premade hamburgers and tater tots in the freezer. I am trying to cook extra on weekends and freeze during the week.

Can I vent a little? Dd is on her last year of showing calves. She does well in the show ring. She does well because she works very very hard at it and we've made a lot of learn-from-mistakes in the past. This year she was also elected President of the Nebraska Junior Cattlemen which sanctions the cattle shows so exhibitors can get points for showing. We have been really working hard to build that program up beyond the showing. For example in February she organzied a quiz bowl and we are working on a whole day workhsop with different contests and beef related workshops. Anyway, we've heard wind that people (in particualr one woman) are saying that she is showing illegally. I know some of it is jealously. But I'm real close to calling her and telling her to knock it off. This woman has a terrible reputation for gossiping and almost to the point of being malicious. What's sad is that she works for the local school system and repeats things she shouldn't. Oh well - that's life isn't it? And now I have that off my chest!

KathyJo and Leaflady - did you get storms last night? I noticed a front went through Kansas and Missouri. It is supposed to get into the 50's today and close to 70's this weekend.

Better go - piles everywhere (laundry, office work, mail, dishes, etc) need to be reduced!

You all have a good day and take care!
