Look at the shine on this baby!

This is one of my Sanguinea seedlings. I LOVE the shine on the leaves. All you Sang experts, will the leaves keep their shine?

Only one of my sangs has leaves like this one Kristi. All the others have furry leaves. Mine has not flowered yet, I can't wait. It is very tall and Yed lst year so it should soon!! I always think of these leaves as shiny but LOL....... I just took this one and they do not look shiny in my picture........

Looks great Kell! What color bloom is it suppose to have? How long did it take to form the Y ? I'm going to put one in a pot and one in the ground. If the heat stresses it to much I'll bring the potted one in the house for the summer. Worth a try.

I bought it last year as a chubby plant in a 4 inch pot, about 4 inches tall. A lady here grows them, Annie's Annuals. She has the cutest website with great pictures, check it out. When I go to her nursery soon, I am going to ask her where she got it. Probably I bought it in the beginnning of the summer. It Yed probably in October........... I think this one has never had buds. and no buds in sight. I have never see this one bloom. I believe Liz has this one also and so does a friend of Jeannes that lives near me. Maybe they will come and help us out. Maybe it is purple.

There is a photo of a similar leaved sang at gardenweb.com on the opening page of the Brug forum. The flowers are quite wide, and arborea like with lots of colour. Liz's was a very beautiful specimen of the shiny clan.

thanks Dennis........... that is sure a pretty one! Don't tell Liz I didnot know which it was, she has sent me the picture every few months each time I tell her I wonder what it will look like. She is beginning to doubt the level of my brain activity!

And you know what Kell? I always forget that I sent the picture. But there is help for both of us. Look what I found on the co-op forum ~ unfortunately there is probably some sort of customs problem that stops me from sending my VISA #.
