So Sorry

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I have not been posting lately. I have breifly gone over all the post but there are way to many for me to respond to all of them. Happy Birthday to many of you. I have been so busy with the new grand baby and right after that my FIL fell in his garage and was not found for 3 days and has been in ICU for 2 weeks in Florida. DH has been with him and only arrived home friday. FIL was put in rehab and will be moving in with us here. I have been trying to clear out the house of unneccessary things but with 2 weeks of rain I haven't gotten but a big mess in my house where I pulled everything out but couldn't do anything with it. DH says I have until saturday and then he going to get rid of everything wheather I want it or not if I am not done. So I will be out for a little while longer. I also found out I have a herniated disk in my lower spine and 2 torn rotator cuffs in my shoulders after 13 years of complaining. Will get injections in lower spine but have to go to another Dr. for shoulders to see if injections will take care of it or if surgery is going to be required. I am so frustrated. I also have about 80 brugs that need to be potted up and taken out of the GH. Please bear with me and don't forget me in your thoughts and prayers.

Gosh Donna, you sure have had your hands full. Your FIL is lucky that he has family that will care for him.I have herniated disks in lower spine also so I understand the pain you have been in.I will keep my fingers crossed that the injections work for you and free you of the pain. We'll be here when you can come back and visit. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

What a trouper! I would have just sat down and cried by now. I will say a prayer for your life to become more enjoyable, and for your pain to be eased without surgery. I totally feel for you, as I have been trying to repair-redo-renew an old house for years, and everything is in a temporary state. Things can't be where they should be, so it causes other things to be out of place, and it just gets worse instead of better when someone else is about to move in. Don't let it cause you to neglect your health, as spines are nothing to be taken lightly. We tend to accept far more pain than we should because it seems like everyone else needs something, but you won't be any good to them in traction or ICU. I hope your FIL recovers and turns out to be an asset, and that your husband decides to help you get things reorganized to your liking. I cringe when someone talks about "offing" my stuff!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Donna, I wish I could help in some way. I know what those back problems are like. I hope you will take care of yourself and be careful not to hurt yourself more when caring for your FIL. I'll say a prayer for you and your family.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Donna, you've just been through the wringer. Take a deep breath, and start moving stuff around. Take care of your shoulder/back, you just cant afford to hurt it any more.
Cant believe your FIL was stuck in the garage for 3 days. he is one lucky guy to have you.
Hang in there, my thoughts and prayers are with you

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Donna, wish there was something we could do to help you out.Just take things as they come and don't sweat the small stuff.....

As for the Rotator cuff,I tore mine and it took them a year to figure it out(Comp didn't want to pay for the MRI)When they finally did the surgery ,I was so sick of pain that I would have given anything to make it stop.(None of the injections worked)
After having my arm pined down to my side for weeks and all the Therapy Its still not 100% but it is better.
That was the main reason I started driving instead of loading. They said I'd have to have ANOTHER sugery on it.

So take it easy!!!!!!

So sorry Donna - If I were closer I sure would jump in and help you. Things do look dark for you now - but beleive me in time it will be better. I know right now you can't believe that, just take one day at a time. Try to keep your wits about you and just do what you can do, then quit - you must get some rest. And don't forget to pray.

So sorry to hear of all these problems you're experiencing right now. Hope things will improve quickly. I was hoping you would make it to the swap. You're gonna need a break.
