Nice rockgarden, Doris. I prefer the flat rocks like that.. so much easier to use as stepping stones! I won't be seeing any jonquils here in my Alaskan gardens for awhile. Thanks for sharing!

It's good to hear someone else refer to daffodils as "buttercups". I grew up in Kentucky where EVERYONE called them that. Here in Tennessee, everyone just blinks hard when I mess up and call them that.
Yes, buttercups are an entirely different plant, as far as I'm concerned, but I knew it must be some local name for them. Whatever you call them, they sure are a welcome sight!
I picked "Butter Cups" here in the deep south as a little girl and OLD habits are hard to break! Daffodils are truly one of my favorites as they seem to usher in spring along with the "Yellow Bells" ie Forsythia. :)
