Just an FYI - I had Dave add some new categories to the Watchdog last week; among the new categories is one for brugmansias and daturas: http://gardenwatchdog.com/vbc/78
If you know of other companies that should be added to the list, please let me know by posting here or via email. (And as always, if any companies in the Watchdog need their email address, URL, street address, phone, or whatever updated, please - PLEASE - let me know that, too!)
Brugmansia resources in the Watchdog
Logees Greenhouses sells Brugmansias. I just added a comment in the PDB
Kartuz Greenhouses sells them. I couldn't find brugs at lots of the stores you have listed go_vols.

This is good, there are a few more, will have to see what their e-mail addy is etc. So many want to see something like this.
Thank you.
You have to really look around on some of the sites but there are Brugs listed on all of them.
Terry, we have 'Snowbank' at the Karchesky site.
How about JT's site? Country Gardens
Captive Plants http://gardenwatchdog.com/c/1855/ is one of my favorites! Very nice size plants for the price, also excellent germination on the seeds.
My last order was sent to my house before I had a chance to even get my payment out to them. The plants that were sent even had buds on them and were VERY healthy. A very nice man to work with.

Snowhermit's right - sometimes they're kind of hidden, but the reason they're listed is because when I do a search for "brugmansia mail order" or "brugmansia catalog" on Google, their sites come up in the results, and after clicking around each site, I was able to confirm they do have them listed for sale.
I've added Captive Plants, Country Garden, Karchesky Canna, Kartuz GH, and Logee's - bringing the list to 19 now. Please keep the suggestions coming; as far as I know we are the only directory with a category specific to these plants, and I want to make sure we have a well-rounded list of sources.
http://countrygdn.com/ this is gone2seed's site. always great plants and a super guy.
Kristi: Your hyperlink for Captive Plants did not show them?? Would like to see and order from them. Thanks
Here they are, Hibiscus: http://gardenwatchdog.com/c/1855/
Thanks so much, went back to your first post at top and found them!
WOOPS, thanks go vols! I was trying to link something else this a.m.
Kristi

Sorry, just a stupid question: The europeans do know where they can order brugs. I thought this thread should have been a help for USA and Canada to order brugs.
Because of Phyto and two years waiting in quarantine and so on..if you order from europe.
Did it change to better things? Can I post ,legal, seeds to US and cuttings, too?
Would like to hear this.
no Ludger, still the same. Lots of papers and two years waiting with inspections in the meantime.
Me too Ludger - I have been scouring the internet for brugmansia sellers in Canada. Not much luck.
I thought so, thank you for this informations.
I think it is not fair to show Links in a purchase thread where people in US or CA can not order normal....
Hendrik Jan Gommer ( for examble ) told me face to face that he doesnt like to ship because of the papers and the money.
Soon you will have the hybrids you want to have by your own( much "motherplants" are over the pond..)
all others you can order at your nurseries in US and CA.
Actually Canadians can order from Europe. There is the same conditions for the phytosanitary certificate, but not all the complications that apply to the US. Paul from Montreal orders from Europe once a year. I don't remember which nursery he orders from though.
Actually, I now know of lots of people ordering from Europe to the US. The paper work is not all that cumbersome! And what does it matter if you have to keep them in your yard for 2 years if you are growing them for your own enjoyment, you get to enjoy them for those 2 years!! LOL
Yard??
Ludger, Yard is the land around your house that you own. Land in the back of your house is your back yard. Land in front of your house is your front yard.
oh it can be done. It is a risk you have to take and be willing to invest money in something that might not make the trip, as Barbara can testify. Gommers is just a 'drool' site though if he won't ship.
Thank you, but why is telling here that you can order european brugs for your back- front- or yard ???
I was told that you will need a closed room for two years, all other doings would be not " fine".
Sorry for this wondering. Can I send ( legal way ) a Brugcutting to US??? WITHOUT all papers and without a GH ( isolated and without other brugs ? in US ?)
I would like to stay a legal,lol...or cry
Please help to inform me.
not without papers. The quarantine area is different depending on your inspector. Some are 200 ft, some have been told 10 ft. It depends on where you are and who comes to inspect. But it doesn't have to be inside a greenhouse.
I wish you could send legally without papers. but you need them for seeds and cuttings. :(
Daturalady!!! You are in such luck. Liz (one of the Vancouver babes) is opening up an internet store and she not only is a member here but probably has one of the biggest and best collections of brugs including to die for sangs. I must put a disclaimer in here that she is a very good friend of mine, but I have got to tell you she is a real doll.
I am hoping she can also send to us in the US with just a phyto, she is checking.
Email her thru Dave's!

geez Kell, I hope you're not expecting an agents fee, LOL.
But muchos gracias anyway!
No Miss Lizzy...just one of every brug you own......LOL
That's exciting news Kell! Just what I needed to hear with the temps outside 15F this a.m.
*In the meantime, I'll turn to my farmers almanac for comfort* LOL - I know spring has be coming sometime -
Day's Length 11h 48m
On the count down to 12 hours of daylight!
I don't think it's right that any one person should speak for all Europeans! I'd love to see lots of European Sources listed! The watchdog is for all countries isn't it?
Confused,
Bruno (Ireland)

All sources should be listed cause some lucky people can import......
Kell - I know! Been in touch with Liz on another thread she answered. And I've had a look at her web pictures. They certainly are lovely and you're right - she has a lot!!!!
Mr. Plantaholic, I agree with you :) Up to this point, we've concentrated mainly on adding U.S. companies to the directory because so many of our members are from the U.S. As we've broadened our scope to add companies located in other countries, we're finding more and more non-U.S. users are finding and using the directory.
In my mind, it doesn't matter whether a company can (or will) ship plants to the U.S. (or anywhere outside its country's borders), since every mail-order company is seeking more customers, and is glad to have a way to introduce itself to those customers.
From one Terry to another I have to tell you I like your new user name. :)
