these indian dugs. They like slugs and snails. Since I have them in our garden, I can plant Brugseedlings free in ground anywhere. We dont have more slugs in our Garden.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Shesh,my ducks and geese eat my lilies,lotus.....seedlings of all kinds.....never thought about them eating slugs....

now that I think about it ,I really don't ever have slug damage.......

OK ,maybe I forgive them...a little......

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

too bad we can't rent these by the day.......LOL

rural, WY(Zone 3a)

Ludger do you have a nice field on your property?

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

CC, only the dugs eat slugs, not the geeze.Mine eat all young green,too.....
Kell, in Europe you can rent such " slugwatchers", for a day or a week or a season. It is much more cheaper to have some own. The chicks are so sweet...lol.

Dennis, itīs not proberty but I can use much here...the farmers and hunters ( they have the forests..) are my friends. We help each other and they all like brugs..

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I don't know the word "dugs." Do you mean ducks or are you referring to the cats?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

WS, He is talking about the ducks. Ludger, we don't have slugs here, but if you can find a duck that will eat aphids and mites, I'll sure get one. That is if they don't eat the plant too.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

These are special ducks. Translated from German the name would be Indian Running Ducks. Their main food are slugs, they eat salad or other plants only, if they dont find food (slugs).

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

And they stand up straight, not like a regular duck, and they are called runners because they do just that ...RUN

When they are judged in shows here they are put in a large fenced area so the judges can see them run....its so funny to see.......

Ludger, send me some of these ducks. On the West Coast we have huge banana slugs and they are disgusting. I think Liz posted a picture of one of them last year. Maybe she still has it. They'd make a great meal for your ducks. We have garter snakes here that eat the slugs.

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Jeanne, no problem..I have 3 males and 5 females. Hopefully we will have many many babies this year. You can have some.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Ludger... does that mean we can send all our slugs to you? Hmmm.... I wonder how much it would cost to send a 10 pound box to Germany?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

That would be the most expensive duck food, LOL!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Lol, you can post,my ducks will enjoy the slugs. I will not pay for the shipping...smile.
