Are these edible? If so I would love to have a few when they are ripe and by that time I will have something to offer as a bribe.
Wind, I don't think they are edible, they are very small, about the size of the end of your pinkie finger.
ROTFLMAO you know this winter weather has addled my brain (not that I have much left) but I love figs, when I saw the word fig I swear I could almost taste them.
Just disregar my earlier statement lol.
I thought that's what happened, lol. I found fresh figs while we were in Texas, they were delicious! I didn't think about keeping the seeds.
Try good goat's cheese on a ripe fig.........it is one of the real joys in life. And a sip of good French...OK forget the French........ champagne after is heavenly also!
I haven't been to store yet but will be checking to see if they have fresh figs. Calla I am so surprised that you don't have one already lordy knows you have just about everything else*giggle*.
Kell I have never had goat chesse but I might just give it a try.
My ficus bore fruit last year too for the first time - the weeping benjamin type. They're so tiny, they'd be easy to miss unless it's your own tree. Mine are so happy when I put them outside in the summer. I've got to get a good edible fig tree & grow it here for fresh figs. I have no idea what they taste like but I'm dying to find out.
