wouldn't it be nice?
Hint, Hint
Actually, that is a great idea. We might could do a couple "virtual pond tours" - one in the next few months as our ponds start to spring to life, and another one when more stuff is in full bloom. What about it, y'all?
I am game for it.
I'd like to participate, too.
Me too!
Cool! Count me in!
I wish I had a digital camera. :(
Count me in.
So, how do we get the off the ground! I'll go out right now and take a pic of my pond. It's just starting to come around. Need to check the temp before feeding the koi. It's a work in progress. My pond started years ago and the gold fish has been with me since then. My ponding started when we moved to a house that already had one. The top preformed 60 gal. pond, is what I moved big Goldie into when we moved from that house. The first lily division I got is from my grandmothers pond. My pond is a work in progess. The top is now part of my filtration system. I'm working on ways to create a more natural look. But, I may just go in the direction of whimsy. I will post the pond as is later today.
Toodle loo
BTW, PONDITIS, I bet you could find a friend willing to take some pictures for you or let you do them yourself. Dontcha Think?

I'd like to be included in the Pond Pictures. My small one still has some ice on it. The goldfish are in the larger pond, and i did put the water heater in it and had to turn it on once or twice during the coldest weather. I have 3 goldfish that i moved here from my other place more than 7 years ago, so they are at least 8 years old. rutholive (Donna)
I'll be happy to post a picture of my pond too. I've got a couple from last season I could post. Right now it looks icky...Turned one of the uv lights and one of the pumps on today...
the heck with pictures I WANT some of those ponds!!!!!LOL
violabird emailed me privately and told me that I could get my film put onto disk at a lot of places that develope film. I didn't know that so this year I will have to take LOTS of pictures. LOL you guys are in for it now. :)
Our ponds too are works in progress. My hubby and I are not in great health so our work goes slowly but it goes.
What if you did last year's pond and then keep adding new pics?
I still need more ideas! I bought a preform 220 gal and want a more formal look, can anyone help me here?
VB: You could put a row of slate rock around the edge, overhanging just a little bit so as to cover the liner edge. Dwarf Papyrus (sp?) is a neat little plant that I don't think gets too unruly. I warn you against putting a mint or bacopa in the pond--they will creep all over everything in sight! Maybe a small water lily and keep it simple, whatever you do. I made mine very natural looking and have it almost filled to the hilt with different plants, mostly natives and mostly freebie rescue plants. Happy ponding. Be you so warned that ponding IS addictive. Once you put the first one in, you will want another, bigger one!
Donna, that looks wonderful! Is it mostly above ground?
That's what I'm thinking of doing, just don't know yet, was hoping to get more tips here . . . So, for now it sits empty and upside down ):
Bump, Bump
Gettin closer!
Count me in. Have one in progress and no plants as of yet. Will add when it is complete. All your pictures will give me some good ideas Im sure. Ted ♫
If I can figure out how to post pictures on DG I will do my ponds in here.
Hey Ponditis, it's gonna be real easy, I promise you! Have you tried getting any of you 35mm pics on a CD yet? When ya do, just hollar, I'd be glad to help--ya won't believe how easy it will be! Check with Wallmart for pricing!
Until I got a digital camera, I used Snapfish.com to process my pictures, since they host them online for free and send you a set developed on Kodak paper. I'm sure WalMart and other photo developing places have had to drop their prices to compete with the online sites.
I *think* Snapfish will digitize a certain number of your already-developed photos for free (you can pick and choose which ones), as an introductory offer. Check http://www.snapfish.com for details.
Thanks Terry and violabird for the camera info and offer of help. I am hoping that later in the week I will have the use of our son's digital camera for a while since he was to get it back from his friend for me to use. But I will check out snapfish and see what they offer.
