This is a beauty Cala. Does the plant get very big?
Mine is several years old and is about 6 feet tall. It seemed to reach that height and stay, the top has weeping type stems. I had to tie it to a bamboo stake at first to make it have an upright trunk. They make great standards.
6 feet!! That's big, alrighty!
Great color on this one. There are a lot of beautiful flowering maples out there.
I grew my first ones last year from seed. I really enjoyed them.
This one made one seed pod, but the seeds never did come up. Some of the other hybrids make lots of seed which germinates easily.
What would be some that do well from seed?
