Hi Ya'll from violabird

I'm so glad I found you! What a great site! I can't wait to start talking.

I live on 18 hilly, mostly wooded acres between Atlanta and Macon. (Zone 7B) I've been here for almost 20 yrs. now and wish I had the plants that never made it--I'd have my own Calloway Gardens! I've been working on a hillside garden and plan to put in a small water garden this spring, so I hope to talk to you on several different sites.

A few of my favorite things: feeding my birds and deer, getting into my hot tub after a grueling gardening session (I highly recommend this folks!), where I can look down over my garden and watch all the action. :)

HI!! I live in Newnan, not too far from you!!! we'll have to get together this spring. In fact, there's a plant swap planned in Jonesboro by another member and it would be great if you could come. I have two ponds, one still in the baby stages, due to putting it between two paths (not a good idea:)
You'll love it here at Dave's, make sure you have a comfortable chair!

Welcome Violabird! I too am from Ga! I live in Villa Rica which is not too awful far from tiG.

Violabird, welcome to Dave's Garden. Boy would I love to be able to sit in a hot tub and look over my garden, but the temperature in New York City right now says, 'No Way Jose' A warm welcome from a cold city (temp that is).

Poor Jose! Gotta put the tub inside a nice garden room, where I've watched the snow fall, then turn up the A/C in the hot summertime!
