A ripe seedpod will turn from green to yellow, or it will tear open. Sometimes it only becomes soft.

Ludger are most aurea pods like the second pic?? This is the first year I have had pods shaped like that.A lot smaller though.

The HG pod has had 96 or 72 seeds. Avalon sometimes has about 120 or 140 or more.

Ludger so is Avalon pure aurea???

Oh my gosh, those pods are huge. I had Butterfly X Rosamond pods this year and they were much smaller than those. The seeds must really be large. Great pictures.

I hope so. It looks like a pure aurea to me. I did some test crossings with it,last year.

The new seedlings will show me.

I crossed it with Apricot Queen, if I will get candidas or flore plenas, Avalon is a pure aurea.

Same with x Rothkirch: Either I will get pure Aureas ( F 1) or not. Please wish luck to this seedlings,smile.
