Hi guys & gals, have you seen these most beautiful Double hybrids from Anne Kircher-Abel of Germany: http://kirchner-abel.de/site/neu2002.htm *drewl*. And not only that, but take a look in the online shop in the aurea section where there's 'Bambina' the first erect flowering Brugmansia!!! and they say she's going to be releasing loads more new hybrids this year! It's not fair...I want them all! LOL

Best wishes always,

Bruno

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I go back to this site every once in a while. Then I ask myself why I put myself through that. But we can dream can't we.

Bruno,
They are just super.

I'm trying like everything to get us a double pink and double yellow/Gold here in the states....been pollinating today. Today I pollinated Golden Lady X Gold Traum, Species x E. Pink and Species x Jessie Noel. If any one has any special pink pollen I'd be more then happy to take it off their hands....my species has loads of buds on it.

Glory, I might have a little Butterfly left.

Snow,
I have some of that one...I pollinated a couple of Species X Butterfly yesterday....Thanks anyway.

Hiya TLynn, I must have missed that one...I'll go have a look Now.

Hi Glory, I wish you all the luck in the world! This year will definitly see the ball rolling for American Doubles of all colours! It's great!

Hi Jerodsmom, colourfull doubles are within close sight for many of our hybridizing members, so begin to get excited as your dreams will shortly come true! :o)

Tracey,
Where can we find a picture of Indian Summer? Where have you been? How are you doing?

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Hi Gloria, tons and tons of paperwork, I guess when the government couldn't harass the Doctors enough to satisfy their taste, they started picking on home health nurses. I am doing pretty good, sick of snow and ice, but I think everyone from Tenn. up has had more than their share this year. I found Indian Summer under Aureas on her online shop, about half way down. I think we are planning a road trip down that way the first of June. I hope we get to see you then.

Tracey,
Any idea when in June? Let me know so I will be sure to stay home during that time frame.
I never could find the Indian Summer Brug...please show me the direction.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Hi TLynn, I just had a look, It's hard to deside on a favourite, they're all beautifull!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

As far as I know it will be the first week in June, maybe we can pin point a date, I know that would be easier for everyone down there, I think Dee is coming too! I can't wait to meet everyone. Bruno I know what you mean! I just about fell out of my chair when I saw Indian summer, little blooms with lots of attitude. I can see a yard full of those in my mind, I would never leave home.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I can't get into the ONLINE shop. Tells me there is an error on the page. Would someone send me the picture by email? I'd love to see what you are all talking about.

Just incase any of you want to get in on it, Many US members of the Yahoo Brug forum are now organising a large scale importation of brugs from Anne-Kirchner Abel's collection! There's lots of complications envolved like APHIS quarantine etc. which will probably mean that allot of people will have to wait till the two year quarantine is up before you get to own any of the brugs!

But, take a look http://groups.yahoo.com/group/brugmansia/ and maybe you might be able to help!

All the best,

Bruno

Bruno,
Maybe you can tell us what date all this started so we can read it from the begining.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

I think it started either Tuesday or Wednesday night...no earlier than the 25th!

Thanks Bruno.

Bruno, There seems to be many contributers toward this. If you get many people to go in on this how will there be enough cuttings for everyone at the end of the quarantine period.Someone that will grow these will have to have a large GH or area to grow these through the winter if they are to grow big enough to share with so many. Are the people that are going to order and care for the plants experienced Brug growers. Just curious as to how this will work.

Hi snowhermit...To be honest I haven't been following it! You'ld be better of asking the people involved!
