Is this a keeper or what?

This was a seedling that I received from JT and I think he got it from Earl. Do I keep it and give it a name or do I dump it because it looks like others out there?
If I keep it I think I will name it Audrey O.... after my Mom.
Let's decide if it's a keeper or not.

Here is another picture of the seedling.

Gloria, I think I'd keep it through the summer and see what the color is in the heat. It looks like an orange Frosty. I like it, but would want to see it up next to JP to compare and see if there was enough difference to keep it. Looks like the tendrils are longer, but my memory is a little short this winter. :-)

My husband sometimes calls my Double White "Audrey" after the carniverous plant in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. LOL! After a bit of frost when it was losing so many leaves, it did look just a little freaky. I told him to treat her with respect or I'd know who to send her way, when Audrey says "feed me!" LOL

I love the name Audrey O. Gloria. I think monika says that summer color is 'real' color (or the color to go by) so I'd wait too!!! Love the shape.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Is this the first time it bloomed for you?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I'd sure keep it and give it some time. Love the long tendrils on it!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I'd definitely keep it and see what the color is this summer.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Glory, nice bloom, give it a little more time or bring it to the Fl swap! ha ha

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I agree with Brugie, looks like a big orange frosty! Very pretty! I love that name also......... you should keep it thru the summer to see how it acts.............

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Very nice but I am not experienced enough to tell you wether not not to keep it lolol.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Glory, this is definite a keeper. It has a nice shaped flowers and I like the long tips. Watch it this year, if it is a good or heavy bloomer, what the color will be, how long the flowers will last and so forth!

Thanks for the input everyone. I too like the color and this is the summer color....these pictures were taken last summer. I think I will keep it and give it the name Audrey O.

Donna and Larry...y'all already have a cutting of this one....how about changing the name from JT seedling to Audrey O.

JT...are you going to the FL plant swap? LMK

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

You could call it "Orange Frosty"!! Or "Frosty Orange", very pretty!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

ditto

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

I like it,too and would keep it.

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

I want to name a new hybrid after my mother too!-Is it best to use her married or maiden name?

The problem is her first name is Violet! It's a nice name, but everyone'll think it's got purple flowers :o(

Bruno,
How about just Vi and then her last name?

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Gloria, keep it.Even those close to others in color and form have a use. They can be used for crossing to the similar plant.
When and where is the Fla swap this year?I thought I heard there wasn't going to be one.Something about hosting a cat fight or something.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I see you found the roundup thread JT. If anyone else wants to come, look in the Roundup forum.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Bruno.......to solve your problem just hybridize a purple brug and then no problem calling it Violet!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

LOL..ok Kell, that sounds simple enough! LOL Worth a shot though!
