I asked my husband to turn my brugs towards the light before he went out of town today. With my back hurt, I can't seem to get down that far. (LOL)
Come in the room and this is what I find. The poor plant is at least three feet from the light and is encroaching on my space.
Right about this time of the year I'm SO ready to toss all my plants out.
FREE THE BRUGS------ Come on spring......
*Ignore the UGLY curtains- they came with the house. REALLY need to change them.

Take a look at this monster! It's trying to get me.....
Hang in there. Spring will get here soon. In fact, it will get to you before me. I can hardly wait. Hope you get to feeling much better before the work starts. Kiddo, don't worry so much about the small things like curtains.....flowers are more important. I'm starting to like the bare window look with just some blinds. Your place looks great and so does your brug.
Don't know which one that is, or what you are feeding it, but it is really liking it at your place. Must be the drapes, I see nothing wrong with them, but I don't have any curtains or drapes in my brug and plant growing rooms, just mini blinds, to let lots of light in.
I hope it gives you lot of blooms this summer.
That plant will grow huge once you plant it outside.
Sounds like we're all dieing for spring to get here. I won't be able to put mine out till the end of May.
WOW Datdog......... 2 alley trees in the making! Which ones are those? I think I am going to keep a tree indoors this summer as a house plant! It will make my house smell nice!
Yes, I can HARDLY wait for spring. This has been the longest winter I can remember.
My monster is the non-variegated sucker from Peaches & Cream. I was able to get three suckers off P&C a month or so ago. One has gotten very tall the other is about a foot shorter, the third is just a little skinny guy. It has VERY large leaves. The new leaves at the very top are becoming serated. Even if the blooms are white (I'm betting it will be), I'll keep this as it's so tall and will make a nice alley tree.
The big one pictured is also starting to send out more suckers. So as soon as they are large enough I'll cut them off and see if anyone wants one.
Kristi
I hope the flowers are as big as the leaves!! And white next to that green will look so great. I love white in the garden in the evening.......... they glisten in the moonlight. Can't wait to see the flowers. Please post it when you get them!
That's cool, Kristi! Whatever colour they turn out to be, the flowers are sure to be bigger than those of P&C!
Lucky you,
Bruno
Kristi your Brug looks very well. You must pollinate this Brug with the original P&C and tell us.
Hang on Kristi. It's almost spring.
Kristi, that is a great looking fbrug, cant wait to see it in full bloom....It will be spectacular, whatever you are doing, keep on doing it. It really is an alley tree in the making. It's perfect.
datdog, your brug looks good to me. Hope your back is better soon. I had to laugh at your remark about drapes. I don't have any drapes anywhere in my house. Blinds at all the windows, and most of them are at the top most of the time. On the south side of house I do close the blinds on hottest days, the windows are e-filled which is great. Also I don't have any neighbors who could see into my house. I also have the solid redwood fence all around my yard, which I love. Donna
