Wanted: Named Morning Glories

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I'm looking for any named Morning Glories, especially Heavenly Blue, Mt. Fuji, Picotee, Ipomoea aquatica, Milky Way, Pearly Gates, Wedding Bells, Tie Dye, Minibar Rose, and any other varieties, especially Japanese ones. And of course wild species, I'm just about open to anything named ;)

I can send a SASE, but I have got lots of seeds from trades and some from last year fro my own plants.

Eaton, IN(Zone 5a)

I have Scarlett O'Hara; not on your suggested list but a good one. Let me know.

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Evert - Next year I'll have about 25 varieties to send! :-) We've had Japanese MG co-ops this year, but the quantity of seeds was pretty low, but I'll have quite a few collected next year from the co-ops and trades.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

I have 'Heavenly Blue' and another MG, that I have to get the name for you.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Thank you everybody,

So.. Padre promised to send me Heavenly Blue, Flying Saucers and Pearly Gates, and Crestedchick promised to send some Japanese ones she got from the co-op.

Carena, I'd really like the double picotee and tie-dye :D

Djm906, the ones you suggested sound very good, especially Mt Fuji, it looks great in pictures.

I will email you.

sbarr, that would be nice. We'll see how my morning glories do this yer, I am starting them earlier and in better conditions. Last year I failed (spider mites killed them).. Now I've got growing lamps and good plant shelter. :D

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Evert - I think you'll get a great preview! I'm hoping all the JP junkies can start threads with the JP name and each person can post what they did and how they look.

Talk about a window shopping opportunity. I'm just amazed - I started last year with Grandpa Ott's and now have over 25 varieties and many new trading friends!

After all of the trades and co-ops, this is going to be an exciting year for the MG-aholics. And since CC is sending you some Japanese varieties, you're required to post your successes! :-)

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

:) I surely will post pics if I manage to get them growing this year.

My Japanese Ipomoea 'Kikyo' had just sprouted. I got the seeds from imaseedpicker two years ago.. :}

I'm just so excited with all these MGs Blue Star also sprouted today. I am waiting MG tree to sprout, maybe tomorrow.. I also sowed some white MG-look-a-like vine, I collected the seeds from the plant that was growing on a roadbank in Goa, India. They haven't sprouted yet. It has got small little flowers; http://davesgarden.com/j/viewentry/24837/

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

I'm going to be on my knees begging for a few Japanese MG seeds next fall...I hope all of you who got them this year have great success with them! I'm going to waiting for the pics!! I'm crazy about them!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

That's going to be half the fun of this summer - new flowers, pictures and trading and sharing opportunities. I think because of co-ops and generous sharing from other members my MG inventory went from 1 to 32 varieties (that's last count) in less than 6 months!
