I quit cutting buds off my bigger plants and now have two flowers open.
It is amazing how much parfume they can put out. I might have to keep a few inside just for the smell.
My house smells like heaven
very nice!
I wish I could smell it!
I can smell it sue, because I have a few flowers in the GH too. Its a touch of summer!
Very pretty, I can hardly wait.
I, too, can smell it. I have Karmas' Peachey Cream with two flowers open, smells Heavenly. This might help me make it until spring! Sigh.....
If I get blooms here, I'll have to buy them. Gosh, I'd love to have something blooming right now. I sure enjoy seeing the blooms that others have and I'm so happy that they can have them. I will be rewarded one day, about July, I'm guessing. Maybe an odd one or two will bloom in June for me. Everything depends on the weather. Anyway, I'm happy for everyone that can enjoy the blooms right now.
Paintedlady, keep up the good work. You guys that have blooms help get the rest of us through the winters. Thanks so much!! Keep on posting.
Forgot, I did get an orange tree that has a few blooms left on it. Wow!! What a fragrance on that one.
Congrats to you! I had buds on a couple, but they fell off, but many of mine are growing like crazy...can hardly wait until spring, big huge snow fall here yesterday!!
That is gorgeous! Can someone mail me a flower so I can smell it too?? LOL
Michele, it has been done before. Kell sent me a flower last year. It wasn't exactly crisp, but it was intact and I could smell it.
ROTFLOL Leave it to you and Kell! Thanks for the smile. I am feeling pretty lonely here today at DG. We got more snow today but thankfully it has melted and I can get off the street! Work tonight. Humph!
We are getting snow as I type. I went out to the greenhouse to see how the insulation is going to do and was shocked to see snow coming down. I'm wondering if it is ever going to end. I want spring and brug blooms here real bad.........guess I'll have to wait like you Michele. I'm not good at waiting, but I'll do it.
I'm a bit dissapointed in my flowers today. They don't smell nearly as strong as last night. Maybe they smell the strongest when they first open, and less as the flower gets older. The pink one (is it a Frosty?) has become darker today and has a lot less white inside. It's getting prettier I think.
This flower is standing straight out, not hanging down like so many of the photos I see on this forum. Would that be a Frosty sign?
For those of you that still have snow, I'm sorry!
Could be Insignis Pink. I'm not an expert, but I think the pink coloring goes up into the tube with Insignis Pink, but not with Frosty Pink. Hope someone can help you who knows.

Many forms of what everyone calls 'Frosty Pink" it and insignis pink seem to flare out and not so much downward. If the leaves tend to be very course and deep emerald green..then its Frosty pink. :-)
When I woke up this morning the house smelled like heaven again. That's when it occured to me that I had left my grow lights on much later last night, and the smell hadn't had time to develop yet. It seems like it takes several hours of darkness for the scent to come out. I'm going to time it tonight.
The leaves on this Brug are darker than most of my other ones and they also feel thicker. So I guess that makes it a Frosty.
wow, this is nice. I had not appreciated this plant so much before. I see them growing here out of doors, and getting large, but never paid much attention; mostly white, and a few peach. Was unaware of the fragrance and the varieties. Maybe I will try one. Glad I jumped into this group. Zone 10a, raining now, at last.
Great PL. Their scents are heavenly.
