Homepage problem

Ok you guys, you know I'm not good with computer knowledge so be gentle, ok.

We have Excite as our homepage and for the past 2 days we have been getting another type page coming up called Searchex and we had to hit the back button to get Excite. As of today, the Excite page comes up blank and if we hit refresh the Excite page comes up ok.

So whats happening, huh. We have Win XP if that helps.
