anyone near - North Zulch, Madison County, Texas
Looks like the Hill Country to me, Larry. What ya looking for?

Actually, it's just Northeast of College Station and just Southwest of Houston County, not to be confused with Houston the city in Harris County. So it will probably be a somewhat more humid climate and a less alkaline soil than the Hill Country. That is a beautiful area, with spring starting almost a month earlier most years than here near Austin. The differences in growing conditions don't hurt the bluebonnets and paint brushes a bit, and the invasive Blueberry Juniper and mesquite aren't as troublesome. There are many commercial growers near the area.
