I also am new here and just bought my home a little over a year ago, the first that is really MINE, all MINE!! (sorry if that sounds a little selfish but I can't help it!!) I spent most of last summer trying to get it sided and I am doing it myself. Yes, I am proud to say that it is turning out OK. There are always those things that you wish you could do over but all in all I am happy-and that's all that counts. I put some B4 and after pics for you all to see. This year I am hoping to be able to put in a rock garden (people keep asking me WHY I want to grow rocks-HAHA very funny), and maybe a tiered garden...My youngest daughter is graduating this spring so who knows what I will have time for!! I am hoping to get some neat stuff to get started with although I don't have a lot of things to trade-have some things but don't know what the "scientific" name is for most of it-pretty common stuff that most people are not looking for no doubt. Anyone know where I can get some HARDY rasberries and strawberries from?? Time to go now-I think I will have fun here!!!
I love dirt!!! Am looking forward to this...
Welcome Snorb, your in the right place, spend a little time here and you will be wanting more land,Get group, jump in on the fun, So Hi Di Ho good neighbor to my north.

I have 20 acres right now to try to keep up by myself, I don't think I will need more any time soon!!! We have 3 horses, 3 cats, lots of wildlife including but not limited to: beavers( I live right by a creek), owls, woodpeckers, hawks(my personal fav), deer, skunks of course, and multitudes of other winged creatures. I am so happy here I don't know where to start!!! Not sure how I will find time for gardens but I am going to try.
I'm waving from Kentucky!! A big hello!!Glad to see you with us.Member JoanJ will be happy too...she's from ND too.

Hello Snorb from New Hampshire! Loved your pics of your home...you'll love it here at DG!
Thanks to you all for the welcome-I hope to have a lot of fun and maybe even learn something in the process!!!
Hi from another northerner and one of the horsey set. It looks like you have plenty to keep you busy there once the weather cooperates. Until then you have some time to get aquainted here. Check out the farm forum.
Hello from Alaska, Snorb59! How exciting to have your own place! I think it is one of the most exhilarating things to look around the land and know it's yours! You'll find many friends on Dave's Garden.
Another big welcome from Ky.
How did I miss this?????
WELCOME Snorb59! I'm so pleased to have another member from North Dakota here. Maybe someday we can get together. I'd love to meet another DG member. I get to Bismarck every once in a while. Do you ever get out this way?
Opps, forgot to tell you that if you email me and I don't reply it's because I'm not getting some of me emails from here.

Hi Snorb!
Glad to have you here. Your house is nice.
Looks like you will be enjoying yourself with all the animals and riding your horses.
You will like it here at Dave's, I know I do.
Take Care, Jul
snorb,Joan is having trouble with her email and stuff from DG isn't being delivered by her ISP.You might post somewhere she is on a thread, that way she'll be sure to see you.
Hi Snorb, please send me an email through DG so I can rescue your message from my ISP's junk mail filter. Then I can put you on my ISP's list of mail to send to my inbox. This is an irritating way to have to do this, but until I have one of your emails from DG, I won't get them. Put email test or something in the subject line. Thanks.
I am going to be in Bismarck Monday and Tuesday, but I'll be tied up with meetings. I hope we can get together soon though.
Joan
