It Snowed!!!

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Well, the brugs are here somewhere ..LOL

Out the door this AM when the snow finally quit.
Today everyone is digging out. I am in for a break. Phew )o:

Good thing President's Day as schools are already off and some no work.
Probably no one here who ventured this morning made it to work on time.
Most just called off. No choice!

Co.Wicklow, Ireland(Zone 8b)

Brrr...the weather's gone mad! You're better off staying snug at home!

V/ PEACE V/

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Stay safe and warm. Haven't had a real good snow like that in years. I remember when we use to use the snowmobiles to help get stranded people off the highway and some place warm.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

We had 7". Watch you don't hurt your back like Kristi, that is no fun. Hope those brugs are still in there and keeping warm.

Think Spring!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I know how you feel...LOL

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone! I am okay. Though I stayed home today.
We only had about 18" ..LOL
We got the 2 cars dug out. And the walks.
My daughter got to work ok. But now they won't let her leave as so many others called off.
Working until the place closes at 12.

I got a work out today, for sure ..LOL
I should do this every day to stay in shape .... NOT!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Livin' in a winter wonderland!!! Beautiful if you weren't outside freezing :~)

We received a whopping 27 inches!!! We'll be snowbound for days....we're still digging out our driveway and the plows have not gone into residential side streets yet.....not going to work AGAIN TOMORROW! :~)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

You all really got hammered. The storm is heading this way but we are only supposed to get 6-9". I'll welcome the snow if it keeps the temperature above zero. With temps in the -20's for weeks now our water finally froze up yesterday for the first time in 15 yrs. The plumbers can't keep up with the frozen and broken water lines and are working 7 days a week.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

OH NO! I'm so sorry to hear that Snowhermit! Busted water pipes make an awful mess, especially if you happen to get water inside. I hope the plumbers can get to your house quickly. I can well imagine that they must be very overworked!

Our roofers are inaundated, just like the plumbers in your area. Apparently, due to our 27" of snow, a couple of roofs have caved in, according to the news on the T.V. We just pray that we don't have a melt down too quickly....otherwise, we'll have to worry about flooding!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

snow, the heaters didn't work? are they still trying? I'm praying for you all, this is just horrible. Please be careful! Alice, at midnight it will be worse for your daughter to drive, I hope she makes it okay.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

We're suppose to get major rain on Friday, flooding too, temps in the 40's

I don't think the East coast is guuna handle this well.....

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Wow! Just doesn't need to warm up so fast that we have flooding, what next?

Coal Center, PA(Zone 6a)

Thanks Bonnie and every one else for your kind words.
This has been a no fun week in the east. We had 2 more inches last night )o:
Lots more digging this AM.

But we are all okay. But our chicks sent before the blizzard )o;
Arrived today ..over half are dead )o; Poor little things.
But no one fore saw this.

Finally got my van shoveled out. Though the snowpile is up the windows. LOL
And the mail box. And everything else.

Now awaiting the warm temps and rain. What fun )o:

The blizzard in the eastern US is the top theme at the moment on our weather reports. I hope, you are all safe and have power, to keep your homes warm.

Stay warm and hope this passes soon. My Mom lives in New Brunswick and they're having one of the worst winters ever. Hope you're all ok.
