I have some bulbs, should I get them outside? pot up inside? it's going to be 60 this week, but we still have freezing nights.
anemones
TiG,
I plant anemones in the fall for spring blooming..
Larkie
assuming I didn't :) what would you do with them now?
You can plant Anemones in the Spring as well. Plant them now, but cover with some mulch in case Mother Nature gives us still some real cold weather.
LOL..I would go ahead and plant and hope for a late bloom? If not, next year will be coming soon..God luck..
Larkie
thanks bleek, it's going to be nice the next couple of days, I'll get them right in.
which sort of Anemones?
Anemone Coronaria
A nursery owner/friend of mine told me to soak mine first for 24 hours, then plant them. I'm not sure, but I did as he suggested. They soaked up the water like you wouldn't believe. They were at least 2-3 times the size once they were soaked in water (should be warm water, too, I believe).
works everytime and try adding a bit of bleach to the water to kill bacteria/fungi etc
I think these should have been planted back in the fall
thanks mark. I did find several places that said plant March to October, so I'm going to give it a shot. They are hardy here, so if not this year, next :)
they're coming up. I put them in a pot, but they are coming up. even if they don't bloom, I'll plant them in a few weeks.
I crammed a pot full of anenomes one spring into a pot and it was gorgeous. So tiG just leave them in your pot and after they bloom stick them in the ground.
