Great shot, floridian! Those flowers are difficult to photograph, and yours came out so beautifully! Thanks for posting it!

Thanks ywana! You're right, these flowers can be a pain to photograph. I got lucky. The day was overcast but bright, perfect for pictures. Some of these flowers were lightly striped which was the picture I was going for but I liked this double best!
Good photo! How do you use this plant outside in Florida? In the ground? And where is Lutz? Thanks
This plant stays outdoors in the ground all year round here. It trails and is usually used as a ground cover and/or color accents in borders. It also makes a beautiful hanging basket. It blooms all year and right now it's blooming like crazy.
Lutz is right next to Tampa, not a 'town' per se but more of a postal destination in unincorporated Hillsborough County
Hello Floridian, as pretty as the flowers are, they are as horrible in a garden as the chameleon plant. i just spent my Sunday evening digging them up AGAIN. These plants are weeds! They belong in the ravines' where they initially came from. I have noticed over the past few years that more and more nurseries are actually selling this stuff and are not labeling it as EXTREEMLY INVASIVE. Now two of my gardens are ruined and I have to redig the soil and replant irises, lilies, etc. This stuff will choke out anything in its path. Hope you don't value anything too close to these as it will sure to be gone within a year or two.
