That is beautiful, and as someone said, a very delicate color.
Happy Valentine's day everyone.
Ludger and Monika, how do you celebrate Valentine's day i Germany?
In turkey the locals didnt of course celebrate, but we went to a convent, our Mother Superior's name was Suor Valentina....and In the Catholic faith, you mostly celebrate Name days, so in our little school, we would have a small festivity where we celebrated our Mother Superior's name day, Saint valentine's day.
In March I'll tell you how they celebrated my name day, with I shared with my mother)
In the US Valentine day is celebrated in a totally different way, I was so amazed when I first came here...An it still amazes me

Valentines Day was unknown in our area. It started in the sixties but it is still not as popular as in the US for instance. However, I believe in catholic parts of Germany it was celebrated. Ludger should know it as I grew up in a protestant part.
Ludger - what is the name of that brug? And you're right RA - it is drop dead gorgeous.
Thank you all for this really nice wishes and comments.
This brug is Monikas Floretta, I love this Brug.
In Germany some people celebrate Valentine with nice gifts and flowers . Much have a nice breakfast ( in bed..) or a good Dinner with some Champagne and candlelight.
Not only married couple or shefriend with hefriend are doing so; also good friends- this most time will become a small party..lol.
Some History:
St Valentine lived in Rome in 3.century.He was a priest of the young Christianity.
He was send to death by the emperor of Rome because he did celebrate christian weddings.
It is said that St Valentine did some miracles like to make a blind girl seeing her father ( he was the prison guard from St.V.)
His day of death ( Febr. 14 th) was a very old culture day for the old Romes. Young man and young girls had been allowed to walk together to have "fun"..............smile.
In middle ages ( 13.-14 century )people mixed the memorial for St Valentin and the very old custom of Rome to one.
St Valentine`s Day was born. The Day of "to be in love".
May be the florists went on to continue.........lol.
I´ve heard that story in radio today, hope I didnt bore you.
GL
You did not bore us, that was very interesting and a wonderful story. Hope you had a good day.
Thank you, I have had a dood day.

Cool story. Hope your day was just as you wished it.
Shirley, I got a special gift today: Some Brugseeds from a good friend. He is growing brugs but not in Internet...
I am happy for this Valentine´s gift.
Hope you all are ok with the snowstorm. My good thoughts are with all of you.
GL
You lucky guy!! Hope you get some nice brugs from the seeds. We will be okay here. Jim and I don't have to leave home, so if it snows we just have to learn how to spend 24 hours a day with each other. I'm used to him going to town a couple times a day. If the highway is clear enough, he will get his truck out of the driveway and be on his way.
Ok, thanks for this replay, I can sleep well now.
GL
Whoopee...........
Ludger..thank you so much..I couldn't help but notice that the blooms are clustered in the shape of a heart..so beautiful..they just take your breath away. Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you.
Cheers,
Carol
