Is there a spirea or a lilac that will flourish in Houston, Tx? I had a white spirea in Tn that my kids called a popcorn bush....

Well, I don't really know since I live in Sweden where the climate is a lot cooler.
I guess it might be too warm in Houston for most lilacs and spireas.

In my garden I have three different white spireas:
- Spiraea Grefsheim
- Spiraea nipp. Snowmount
- Spirea vanhouttei

I don't know if any of these is your "popcorn bush"?

Great pic. På vilket zon ligger din trädgår? Jag är i Södra Finland, på zonet 1b (Finska). We bara har den vanliga ljuslila syrener.

I am looking for a lilac that is not susceptible to lilac blight and I believe that syringa reflexa (Nodding Lilac) is on my list. How can I purchase one of these?
