Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I'll trade all my datura seeds for a rooted cutting of Rothkirch.....look what the daturas are worth!!!LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL CC......... this must be the same person that posted on GW looking for a trade of about 15 seeds for a Rothkirch plant. Last I heard she had no takers...............

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Hey! I have the dbl/triple purple datura seeds, have way........too many.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

All it takes for an auction price to spike is 2 people who refuse to let someone else win! My DH & I were at a restaurant auction once where 2 people were bidding up the price on a menu display sign that pepsi gives away for free!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hey I've got lots of these, about 75. Who has a picture I can borrow to put on ebay* LOL *I'm gonna sell them. (this way I can buy more plants) Better yet, I have TONS of seedlings in the basement I started from seed. Double Yellow, Triple Yellow, Double purple. Wonder how much the plants would bring? *grin*

I think the prices are up due to spring fever- and of course as someone above said, the good old bidding war!

Hope the bidders aren't thinking that because it says Angel Trumpet, they are getting a purple and white brug.

Monroe, WI(Zone 4b)

It almost would serve them right, wouldn't it, Brugie???

datdog got the double purple in a pot at the Texas roundup.
Interested in the double and triple yellow.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I too, would like seeds for dbl/tr. yellow...anybody?????

Have lots of the dbl. purple(picture) seeds.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I just saw in a catalog where the double purple plants were priced at 11 or 12 dollars for one. That means there are some Daves people out there that could be worth a mint!! Hibiscus, you better start planting seeds and go on E-Bay with the plants later on. LOL!!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hey- I'm worth LOTS of money- I have a whole basement full of daturas downstairs. Maybe I should kick all my other plants out and start a few more flats of daturas?

Might pay some of my plant bills this season. What's a girl to do? *grin*

Kristi

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Heck, I'm ready to go Co-op, got a 1000, or more seeds. Wow! I'm a millionaire!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'm out of seeds of double and triple yellow. I do have a ton of plants. HOWEVER, I didn't label what was what and have a flat of purples and yellows mixed. I didn't think the seeds of the yellow's would germinate- they were old. Wouldn't you know I had 100 percent germination. SO now I'm left with a mess of plants and don't know the color. All I was really after were the yellows. Going to send the purples to my mom.

I can send plant when I figure out bloom color or save seeds for fall. Sorry.

My yellow ones had tan colored stem, where purple has a dark brown/purple stem. I still have my yellow plant, trying to revive it, but think it is dead!

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

Thats right, lol. All purple flowering Daturas have a dark or brown/purple stem and all whites or yellows a green or bright stem ( as a seedling )

Ludger, will the cross breed, the yellow and purple? John

Brugvalley, Germany(Zone 7b)

John, if both plants are D. metel, I think so. It is very difficult to get Daturahybrids because D is very strong self fertile. It pollinate itself in still closed bud.

Thank you, Ludger.

OMG!!!! That is really a little over priced. LOL
