Nope, yours is all different (and the plant in my pic is from the botanical). Yours is the famous "lucky bamboo". It isn't a bamboo, but stem pieces of Dracaena. Looks nice anyway, doesn't it? Those are popular plants here too (and people really think they buy real bamboos ;))
Hah! Really??? "lucky bamboo"...love it! Guess it goes right along with my name, eh? Thanks!
Yep, that's how they're called.
:)
(sorry if I made you feel sad, [that I told it isn't a bamboo] ;))
Don't do like I did Shoe,I stuck mine in dirt,Nope,it's a water plant. :)
Not to worry, bro. I like it whatever it is called! I'm thinking of "cork-screwing" some of them, just for entertainment purposes.
I'll have to look up the Dracaena family and check it out more in depth. Only one I'm familiar with is D. marginata.
I like your real bamboo tho...as long as it is contained. (Some folks up the way had some bamboo that took over theiry whole yard and became a nuisance.)
:]
Well, I don't know what you can call a bamboo. For me, a real bamboo is the tropical, that grows very fast and is very tall. I also have got a "bamboo" in my yard, it is a cold hardy one.
LOL, Shoe! I bought the exact same one at Lowes ☺ Is that where you found yours? About of fourth of mine were dying so I asked if I could have it for half of the original price. They manager said SURE without even flinching!
Maybe a different kind of luck!
Yep! YOu guessed it, Morph...when I saw it I just had to have it!
