I received a call today from Meri Lynn and she wants everyone to know that she has contacted the KLEN Virus on her computer...she is not able to open emails. If you received any mail from her lately please check for this virus. Here is a site that may help you get rid of it.

Desert Rose email problems
shoot Glory....wouldn't it be if we downloaded a file from her? you can't get it can you if you just open a email from her?
Kell,
ML want's you to check just to make sure you don't have the virus.
Oh Glory you funny girl! It's the "KLEZ" virus. I think KLEM must be related Festus from gunsmoke or Otis from Mayberry. It's like VH and VF all over again. Thanks for posting for me-- I was alittle afraid giving "cooties" to everyone at DG. And to everybody--yes I've had AV software on my computer that scans every night and I update weekly. Now I have two AV's on my computer. And I did a check thru microsoft support. I still haven't found it--- but I keep getting bounce back emails from address that I never sent mail to. The emails say that I have this so called virus. And I have blocked my email from receiving attachments for the last 6 months. I guess the penicillin is working...I hope
The Klez virus, several types, can be really hard to get rid of. You can get this virus by opening or even previewing and email that has the virus. It will even send the virus via an email that claims to have a fix for it. Do not go to the web site in the email, by going there you can get the virus. Here is a link that tells you how to check and get rid of it. If your virus detection is not detecting it then it has probably disabled your virus protection software. You will at the least have to delete and reload your virus protection software. This is a nasty virus. As a last resort, you may have to clean your disk and reload all of your software to get rid of it. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html
Wishing you luck.

Larry- thanks. I reinstalled everthing, went to the AV websites and did a check twice. I haven't had any computer problems(knock on wood)--except emails. I never went to anything on the emails. I did the microsoft a check and that came up empty. I guess I caught it quick enough.
If you are still getting returned emails that you did not send, you still have the virus. I have had one h__l of a time getting rid of this virus. If I am correct, one day in March, I think the 13th, it will activate a program that could wipe out your hard drive, delete needed files and make your computer useless. Hate to inform you of this. I plan on doing a complete backup of all critical files and programs before then, just to be safe. This is something we should all do, but don't. There are new viruses being created daily. You really need to keep your virus definitions updated almost daily if you can. I have the corporate edition of Nortons with live update. I have it set to automatically update each night after midnight, as I never turn my pc off. If you use IE6 as your browser, MS released recently a critical update that will keep web pages from downloading a virus to your pc. You need to get an install.

ML..OOOps did it again...I even wrote it down when you called. LOL
Meri Lynn, you have mail.
Glory luv yah anyway! Hummernut- I get the Microsoft updates all the time--but I appreciate all the help I can get. And it might help someone else out in Dave's world. Ruth Ann got your email and you maybe right--the virus maybe just trying to attack me --by fooling me into believing I already have the virus.
