Hughesville, MO(Zone 5a)

GOOD MORNING, DG FAMILY. I pray the prayer of Jabez over each of you. May GOD's blessings be so numerous you can't count them. And may you feel HIS presence in you lives every minutue of this new day.
It's cold here this morning. I made sure all the windows had the styrofoam pieces in them last night before we went to bed. Just a few windows don't have any so I need to go buy another sheet(or see if some store throws out some small pieces that came in boxes as packing)and get it in them. It makes so much difference in the amount of heat that doesn't get out thru the windows-or cold that doesn't get in-depending on how you look at it. You can usually tell a difference in just minutes after putting up the foam pieces.
I just checked the wild bird feeders and notice they are 1/2 empty. That means 12 little birds aren't getting to eat at any given time. We have the 4 of the OPUS single tube style that feeds 6 birds at a time. I only put out black oily sunflower seeds. We also have a larger wooden feeder that the larger birds seem to use more. Some birds go to the poultry bird yard and finish off any feed they didn't eat before being put up for the night. I see birds on the remaining deer carcasses pulling off pieces of meat and fat that still remain. I need to get some fat/cornmeal/peanut butter cakes made too. In this cold weather it takes a lot of calories for the poor little birds to just stay alive.
My elderly friend who was thought to be dying several weeks ago was put back into a nursing home the other day. Keeping her in their home just was no longer possible for her daughter and her family. She may linger for years in this condition. Remember Karen Ann Quinlan?
Ok, I'll go now. GOD be with and bless all of you.
