all of you getting sassafrass trees read this please

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

Mailing them today, finally. sorry for the delay.

instead of wring to all you separately i am posting directions here for the care of your trees. pot immediately.
if by pring you see no sign of growth and the tree appears dead don't panic. don't comppost it. wait a little longer because their roots grow deep and i got all i could. mine last year appeared dead but after a month new growth came up from the roots. i removed the dead wood and the tree grew great. good luck with your new trees.

my grandfather use to make this tea when i was a kid. i sure did enjoy walking down the block to harvest what we needed and going home to make it sure does bring back some good memories.

markleysburg, PA(Zone 5a)

Everyone used sasasafras tea in the spring to cleanse the blood of all the winter impurities (in those days you always got the flu mumps measels chickenpox in fall winter and early spring, Daddy used to dig the roots when they just started to bud out asnd keep it on the back of the coal stove to simmer(got mighty strong) and we drank it for a time instead of coffee.
