This is Inca Sun X Whiskers......two pods.....different views. :-)
Seed pods
Looks like you'll be busy soon! I bet you'll have some nice looking babies from that batch.
Do you winter your brugs with the pods in a Greenhouse?
Kristi....nope, in a cool dark basement. The pods still progress even in the dark. :-)
Good Luck,
hope we will see the flowers soon...
GL
How cool is that? I thought the brugs had to be in active growth phase to keep their seed pods on!
Thanks for the tip.
looking good Kyle, cant wait to see what you have produced from this batch.
That cross should give you some nice babies.
I bet you will get some nice and small flowered brugs from that cross. I'm really liking the looks of some of the smaller flowers. A little variety is nice.
Best of luck Kyle . . . since both are beauty's.
I thought the seeds had to be brown to be ripe.............no?
Hi Kell,
They don't have to be real dark brown...this is a good color.
well maybe my seeds from my CDW are good then. I guess I should plant some up to see! Thanks Glory!
Hope you get some really nice new ones from your cross.
They look so nice an neat,I tear mine open the second they're ready...LOL
Can't wait to see what you get. Yes! Kell plant those seeds and put a little color on them please....
Kell, different species have different sized and colored seeds,Some are dark brown and large others are tan and small, still others are this shade of light brown. When you take the seeds out of the pod and let them dry for a few days they should be plump and stay about the original size when harvested..if they shrink way up and turn gray they are no good. :-)
My pods are still green and seem to continue to become larger.
My pollinations are always late because of the rough climate
