Good afternoon everyone! Mary thanks for posting all of you wonderful pictures.
Things have been pretty hectic around here and the past few days I have not been able to log on when I wanted to. We're still waiting for the complete test results for our ram. On MOnday, dh talked to vet and he said that the University said the ram's kidneys were gone. By the time he started showing signs of kidney failure, it was already too late to do anything for him. We are awaiting to see if they can decipher the cause of the kidney failure.
I'm still waiting to hear about new jobs. I did some work at the Event Center yesterday. If I didn't need the money right now, I would tell them where to go. The back stabbing is terrible, my legs hurt by the end of the day from standing on concrete all day, etc. And today was the real clincher. I was supposed to go in at 7:00 a.m. Several people kept saying are you sure, etc.? That seems awful early. So I called the scheduler and she said she had changed her mind and didn't need me that early and would call me at 8:00 to let me know when she needed me. At 10:00, I still hadn't heard from her and I called and she said she was just getting ready to call me and let me know that she didn't need me at all today. Grrrr. I can't wait till I get another job and let them know what I think of their operation.
This war thing is really weighing heavy on me. DH is in the National Guard. He has 3 years left to retirement. I asked him what the chances are of him getting activated. He said his chances were pretty slim because of the type of Unit that he was in. However, yesterday, a Unit that is very similar to his was activated and dh said that a few people from his Unit may go too. They are being sent to Egypt.
I think between all of this and the raging hormones, I need a good stiff drink (or a nap). I know God will make sure everything is okay.
We had the vet come over on Monday night. We had a ewe that was in obvious discomfort but was not straining and was not dilating. She had huge abdomen that seemed really low. When the vet got here, she had dilated and he pulled a set of triplets. He said he had never seen such a low uterus and that she would have never had the triplets by herself. She is not doing very good though and we're bottling all three. DH asked about so many backwards lambs this year. He said that is not uncommon with triplets and was "just the way it was". We have 3 ewes left.
Better go - need to bottle my babies.
You all take care!
