Looking for Hemerocallis citrina (Night Blooming Daylily)

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

It took me several years to track this down, I traded for this plant many times, only to have it end up not Citrina, finally purchased one at a very expensive price. Of course, I ended up leaving it at my last house when I moved. I REALLY need to find this agian. This plant was a favorite of a very Dear Aunt of mine. She's where my love of flowers come from, she passed away several years ago. But every spring when I smell this I think of my Great Aunt BeBe.

Thanks so much!

Just noticed today that Plant Delights has this one. Maybe someone has it to trade? Apparently it is a night bloomer. I think it would be a nice one to have, even to use in hybridizing for fragrance.

I purchased this from plants delights one year. They sent a very TINY little plant. It took over two years for it to be two fans. It never did bloom. The only plant I've gotten from them that I wasn't happy with.

High price for a species daylily!

Chicago, IL(Zone 6a)

Olallie may have high prices, but I can personally vouch for quality. This is, by far, the very best mail order daylily nursery I have done business with. You get what you pay for. I ordered a division of H. citrina from them six or seven years ago, and they sent an ENORMOUS clump that included at least eight large fans. It has been thriving ever since and has increased mightily. Every summer the clump in full bloom becomes more spectacular.
