Pond damage

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

Checking my pond today and found it empty. Must have a hole in the plastic liner. Figure all the plants are gone as the tempture was 16 degrees and dont know how long it was dry. Have the rocks cemented in so will have to do it all over this spring. Lesson check it more often.

grab the plants anyhow, throw them in a big tub in your basement or house,I left some out by mistake a few years ago and they still made it.Plus the lake I live on gets lowered in the winter, lilies are right on the surface,in the open and they still make it......

I can only imagine the feeling when you saw your empty pond! I have been there, but in the summer when the temps are 100 and in full sun without water, water plants don't do so well. I found mine in time and managed to save them. I had to get a pro in to find the leak--it was in my biofalls. THe silicon sealant had rotted and the water was leaking through the falls as it was pumped over them. I hope yours make it!

Am going to remove the rock and cut one end out of the plastic container. Then buy some plastic and turn it into a larger pond with a skimmer on the end with the pump to catch some of those leaves. Then replace the rock but without the cement. Ted thanks
