Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Good Morning All,

I am staying home from work today. Nice to be able to take my time feeding and watering the livestock. So much easier to check everyone in the daylight.
I need to put the ponies in the corral today. The ferrier is coming tomorrow. I won't be home. Hate that I won't be here, but so glad to get it done.
My neighbor had a ewe that lambed with no milk. He called me over to see if I could help. I took him bottles and milk replacer. The people that he bought the ewe from came and got her and the babies. So they will be in good hands. The ewe had bagged up, but I guess she just never let her milk down. I tried to milk her to get colostrum, with no luck. Dry as a bone. Any ideas on this? Anything I could have done to help her let her milk down? I don't really think she had mastitus. Her bag wasn't hard and feverish feeling. Jewel, Any news on your ram?
Kathleen, again so sorry about your Father in Law. I have a cousin who is dying. Another cousin is flying in to talk to him about God. I don't think he has ever been a very religious person. I am so glad he has at least a little time to be saved.
