Well the cold finally got to me
it got me
You guys are having a bad winter for your area, I hate this for you, will you lose anything or do you think it will be ok?
Irish, that is so sad looking! We got it really bad here, even the plants that usually make it bit the dust. Where is that warm weather!
Irish, i read what you said on the other thread, i think you are right. if you have no more bad cold, they should be growing new leaves for you very soon. at temps around freezing i think it matters a lot about how long it stays at those temps. i sure never thought the frost would get to you.
The freezing temps got us too here in Tampa :(
Your tree looks so sad!!
I hope it perks up when we thaw out down here in Florida!
So sad......
Pete,
That's a shame but before you know it new leaves and flowers will be on them.
so sorry Pete, but you will still have blooms before the rest of us!!!! give Katie a big kiss and hug, please?
I'm sure it will come back for you if you don't get anymore freezing weather. I'd be happy to see your sad plant growing in my yard now. News says tomorrow night and Mon night it's going to - 25 here. Can't belive it's so cold in the south. Mother nature is playng a very nasty trick this winter.
Snow,
How's the greenhouse doing now that you blocked off half of it?
Sorry Mr Frosty got you too.
Much better Glory. Before the min/max thermometer registered 34 degrees one night when it was -20 and that's with the furnace running steady. Now it is staying in the mid to upper 40's at night. Tonight and tomorrow night will be the test as it is supposed to go down to -25.I will be checking it often. I never in my wildest dreams expected this frigid cold for such a long length of time. So far the Brugs are doing fine. Only had trouble with a couple of small rooted cuttings and they are now in the house and doing great.
Looks like a lot of the buds were not effected think it will look cool after the buds open I'll post a pic then
