Tree covered with snow - 24.1.2003
Evert, What a wonderful photo! I think that spruce look their best in the winter, don't you! I'll look through my pics for examples of our Sitka spruce. I should add that to the PDB, as well.
Thanks. this one grows in our neighbors' yard, just next to the small road that goes to the main street. :)
Newer heard of sitka spruce..
Oh wow beautiful picture Evert!
Great picture but it looks really cold there. What's the highs and lows there now?
Beautiful picture Evert...like a postcard!
:)
It is 33°F outside right now (warmer than USA), yesterday was better, 15°F.
It's again wet there.. hope it gets back colder again. :P Trees looked so pretty yesterday when they were covered with new white snow.
I wish we had some of your snow, Evert. There is very little here, and when you get into town, next to the bay, the lawns are brownish green and their is no snow. This is not good for our plants, since they need their sleep and their white snow blanket!
Weez, this tree doesn't look so snowy anymore ;) It will be -+-+ weather for a few days again. We'll get some more snow tomorrow they say though..
Yes, snow is good for plants in the Winter. Of course, when we had those horrible cold days around The New Year, we didn't have this much snow.. I'm really worried for my tender plants. I hope they're still alive.
Yes, me too, Evert. I went out a couple days ago and covered some plants who had lost their snow cover. I have several more bales of straw, but I'm waiting to see how it goes. We get most of our snow in February, it seems.
