BRRR Jan 23

The buses were probably jelled up this morning because we do have the hour late start. When I woke up it was -12. The temp is going up, it's already at -10. Supposed to be a high of 1 today. Pretty bracing if you ask me. Those weenie weather men from the major TV stations are outside shivering in their goose down coats at 10 above. Wimps!! LOLOL
DH couldn't find the dog this morning. He finally found him dug into a big round bale that he has by the barn that he takes apart to feed the old herd bull. I put some old foam into the shed for the dog and cats to lay on, but the bale must be warmer.
I'm not surprised that the water in the stock tank was frozen this morning. We have an old tire from one of those huge dump trucks with concrete in the middle for a stock tank. The sun warms up the black rubber and keeps it thawed in the winter. I suppose this was just too cold.
Well, better get going. I like to be early to work to listen to the bus radios in case one of them needs me to call someone. DH started the pickup for me, so it should be warm by now.
One of the gals at work was saying that her furnace was making some strange noises yesterday. It wouldn't be a good day for that to go on the fritz.
