I went to a plant show and sale today at our local university and I bought one of these plants. They had siderasis fuscata on one side of the tag and brown spiderwort on the other. I had never heard or seen one so I bought it and it says in one of the plant books that it requires a terrarium to grow in. Is this true or does it just need high humidity?
Thanks
This photograph is from a Conservatory. Plant orginates from Brazil. Listed as being better as a greenhouse plant. In need of humid or airy conditions; Glass Terrarium or Plastic frame. Not recommended for the livingroom. Warm 62-80 F. Partial shade. Keep on the dry side.
Thanks golddog I'll give this a try. I do have a room strictly for plants that is high in humidity.
Puffer,
Just got one myself and it's starting to bloom.
