Looking for ideas...

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

I need to find info on vines that will bloom in early summer. I have lots of fence to cover between now and mid April, but also have to be careful of vines that will overrun a Florida garden. So I'm looking for suggestions.
Thanks!!

Hi, F. I'm a little south of you (zone 10) but I've had a lot of luck with Passion vines. My purple hasn't bloomed, but the red is going crazy, even in this horrible winter. I've also had great results with bleeding heart. The purple is going wild...the white a bit less hardy here.

Hey Stacey - how about this one - where do you plan on putting in the vines??

Hey Dee! Good to see you, I'm writing to you now as well! I want to cover some of the CL fencing along the front of the house as well as some wooden fences Paul built...they're not real pretty but it keeps the Buster monster from running thru the borders and over the plants...the more I hollered the faster he went...LOL Paul put fences out around the side yard, fenced in all those borders near where it was flooded when you were here. It looks like a mini corral!
I guess I'm dreaming to think I can cover any of these fences in 3 months without fighting what I plant for the next 20 years LOL.
I also have a couple of Bleeding Heart...good ideas tweet, thanks.
P incarnata is definitely going in just for the butterflys, I wasn't going to but it brings in so many how can I resist?? Aristolochia too! I got a native Pawpaw recently too! I have seeds for native Clematis that ButterflyGardnr sent me...hmm...I guess I need to get them started (I say that every day, sheesh!)
