Hi-Low Marischino Cherry/Pineapple Jello

Carlisle, PA(Zone 6b)

Started experimenting with jellos recently. Here's a sweet one and very good.
Hi-Lo Marischino Cherry/Pineapple Jello
1 large jar of Marischino cherries (without the stems)
1 can pineapple pieces in own syrup.
1 large package of cherry jello
Bring 2 cups water to a boil, add the cherry jello, stir in for 2 minutes, and remove from the stove.
Pour the jello in a 9 inch by 13 inch rectangular glass pan.
Then, put in a 2 or 4-cup measuring cup, the juice from the marischino cherries & the juice from the pineapple. Add to this, cool water to make 2 cups. Pour this into the hot jello mixture.
Slice the cherries in half and pour the cherries & pineapple pieces into the jello. The cherries will sink & the pineapple will float, hence the name Hi-Lo Cool in refrigerator. Gives a whole new meaning to cherry jello. Let me know how you like it.
