Please tell us what your plants are. They sure look healthy!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Hibiscus- Oh gosh, A couple of the larger ones you see are some sort of ficus trees. The one I purchased for 15.00 is a Arboricola of some sorts. The other plants in the background are various ferns, rubber trees, begoinias, aloes- you name it, I have a little of everything in here.

I really can't stand cold weather. I need to have green around me. Since I'm without a greenhouse, this is the best I can do. I also have plants crammed in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathrooms. Not to mention the grow light set up in the basement. As much as I love all the plants inside, I can't wait till spring to kick them all out. *grin*

The largest plant in the photo, up against the window is a ficus that I've had for 13 years. Purchased it in California and have moved it all over the states (6 different ones) with me (use to be in the Navy)

Kristi P.S. Ignore the ugly curtains- they came with the house- Yikes -

Looks great Kristi. I'd just like to have all the windows. The curtains look fine to me.

Thanks everyone- I do really enjoy the new house (been here since June). One of the main reasons I bought the house was the windows and the privacy in the yard.

My computer is set up in what is suppose to be the dining room. Since we don't have formal dining room furniture it houses my computer and Yellow Nape Amazon parrot.
My husband is ALWAYS looking to buy furniture for this room. I'm always putting it off. Who needs a dining room set in here when I can compute by the window.
Heck I hardly cook anyway- just enough for the kids to get by, LOL.... Kristi

Nice plants, your house has a very restfull look. I think what you need in place of the curtains is an agressive vine trained there like a canopy. When you are living in a greenhouse who needs furniture? Maybe you will have to get a greenhouse.

Brooksville, ME(Zone 5a)

I want windows that big! Your a lucky dog

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Here's a picture of my Yellow Nape Amazon, 'Little Man'! He just had a bath so some of his feathers are very dark. He's showing the typical demon amazon look-eyes dilate. He's just excited.

He's about 12 years old now. We've had him since he's been a chick. He can talk (as well as a human), sing, and whistle. He was my first 'baby' before the kids came along. Sadly, I've learned that I'm allergic to him. Causes a asthma reaction if I handle him to much. We manage okay right now. He hangs out on his LARGE cage and comes and sits near me a couple times a day. He's adjusted. I just feel bad for him, he was use to SO MUCH attention. I'm doing the best I can. It's harder in the winter when I can't open the windows. One day I'm sure he'll have to live somewhere else if the asthma becomes worse. Hopefully the new medication will get it under control!

Root: It's not you, I thought it was my computer, my 17 yr. old wanta be computer geek son, played with my baby[computer] last night. I still have no sound--he disconnected the speakers--will have to catch him to hook them back up.

Datdog: Lovely plants, lovely house with all the open-airy space and large windows. Littleman is gorgeous. And yes, next winter you will have to have a few brugs at your windows, they will love it.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

He is so pretty. I'd love to have some kind of bird, but not sure my dog would allow it. She thinks if it moves it must be a chipmonk and she would be on the move. I'll just enjoy Littleman for now.
