This Jessie Noel has been blooming for over a week now, and the flowers are such a deep, gorgeous orange. This is from a cutting that Glory sent me in August of 2001. I had a beautiful double white that bloomed earlier and has buds again, that cutting was also from Glory, if memory serves. I'm sure most of you have this one, but I just wanted to share. Makes a cold winter day less cold and wintery. At least I think so.

Oh goody - I have really never seen a better pic of Jessie - Glory gave me one too last year, hope she will bloom this pretty for me this year!!
Are you sure that is a JN? Mine that bloomed last fall was only a very pale yellowish color. I have never seen a JN so orangish-yellow in color.
My only cutting this winter has bit the dust, so I won't be raising JN next summer. Will be raising James instead.

This one has such a nice color. I have a little cutting of it that I am trying to baby along. I sure hope it makes it.
Mine is going into my yellow hybrid breeding program this year..I love the calyx on this one too!I like when they creep farther down the corolla tube. :-)

I did kell but must have deleted them before I downloaded them......I'll try again.
I am starting to realize just how different brugs can look depending on the day, climate, temperature, etc. Some of them are hardly recognizable due to fluctuations in color.
Okay, I must confess, this is yet another of my favorites.
