Supplier for caldium bulbs Bulk???

I need about 500 or so caladium bulbs can anyone reccomend a good source for these?

Katrina, you live pretty close to the heart of Caladium country :)

I know there are a gob of Caladium growers in Florida. In fact, a search for companies with "Caladium" in their name brought me to this page: http://gardenwatchdog.com/search.php?search_text=Caladium, and all of them are in Sebring or Lake Placid. I'd bet most of them will give you wholesale prices for that quantity.

You might check bloomingbulb, too - I don't know if they can touch the caladium specialists on price or size, but they're a good supplier of several other bulbs and plants we've bought as a co-op here.

Caladiumbulbs.com purchases theirs from Buddy's which is also listed. Buddy's has a mixed box special on jumbos that's hard to beat. If you want all of 1 variety, the prices are similar, but you'll be getting bulbs from the same field regardless of which one you purchase from.

I'm not sure how the prices compare, but Lowe's has bags of 40 for $6.98.

www.CaladiumBulbs4Less.com has high quality fresh bulbs. Contact Bill and he can work out combo deals, etc. He is by the caladium farm(s) in south Florida, and connects with the growers. He has outstanding feedback from buyers.

I always order 200 bulbs every year. The new website is not their best, so I recommend you call them.

Example:
100 bulbs Aaron size #1 for $55.95 ... $ 0.55 each !!
or 400 bulbs size #2 for $99.95

Those are GOOD quality bulbs ... not the one you buy at Sam's or Lowe's (which are smaller than size #2)

I second Marlboro. Ednies is also great for large purchases and starts at about 25 cents for the #2s in quantity up to 1.92 for the mammoth. I don't know how large the mammoth is, but the jumbo sizes are huge, absolutely huge. Ednie also carries them in mixes, if that's something you might be interested in.
