BOY do I need help with my monitor!!!

All of a sudden my monitor has gone crazy. I have about an inch & 1/2 of BLACK screen on the right side & I can't read athe 1st word on the left side of my screen. I tried dragging it over & can't..what has gone wrong & how do I fix it? I sure hope my monitor isn't going bad.

PS I just discovered (with preview) that HERE I can read it all since the name is on the left side but can't most places
