Just joined with a membership tonight!heard from others that DG has a great many generous and helpful members! would appreciate any tropical seeds or cuttings, would really, really, really love to have some plumerias if possible...but that would have to be a dream...hehehe...like i said earlier any seeds and cuttings or even rootings would be greatly, greatly appreciated!!! and of course would love to be able to repay when i do eventually get my own garden established, seeing as of right now it's 3 acres of emptiness(moved here early fall) so now i see it as an empty canvass...
many deserved thank you's ahead of time to whomever can help me out...
thanks,
cristina
Newbie Needs help Starting Brug Addiction!..please?...
Welcome to Daves. Where do you live?? It's a good idea to go to your member page and you can add the town, State and zone that will show up under your name on the threads. This helps us to know if we are neighbors and what type plants would do well for you. Many of us have become good friends, especially if we live fairly near each other.
Yes, you will find many generous and friendly folk's here on DG.
Welcome, hoping to hear where you are located. Seems everyone forgets this, as they know where they live. But, we don't. I'm sure you will like it here.
Cristina, I wish I could help you, but we are in a very cold zone and I do not have a greenhouse, so I only keep the cuttings that I think I'll need. I will be able to help you next fall for sure. Just remember that I said that because I won't remember in a week. :-) Send me an email in early September and I can load you up with some cuttings then.
Christina...don't you live in Virginia?
ok, i did the zone thingy,duh...sometimes i believe i am on this computer too much and still don't know anything at all! lol hehehe ,by the way thank you Azalea,Hibiscus and Brugie for the helpful info about my city, state and zone...
Welcome Tropicalnut.

Welcome tropicalnut----:)----*waves to Christmas cactus*
Tropicalnut - I don't think Va Beach is in Zone 8a - more like 6b or 7?? We'll get you straigtend out yet! And yes, there will be lots of cuttings available for trade or postage before too long. It's a little cold I think to ship brug cuttings now.
Hi Christina, you probably should get a note from your DR. before start on brugs.grin I didn't and now I'm in big trouble!
Welcome Tropicalnut, I think you will love it here. Besides the trading and sases, there are the co-ops. BTW, I do have some Dr. Seuss brug cuttings. Could add those to the other things you asked about.
I hope it won't be too cold Azalea. Suppose to mail some next week.
Virginia Beach is 7B- 8 if your near the water. Lived there for a few years.
tropicalnut, e-mail me if you would like some cuttings. All I would have is a peach colored one, possible a pink. I don't have names for them, sorry. But, I will be cutting back again before spring, so can root some for you if you want.
oh,did i put down the wrong zone?well i put in my zip like it said and it told me zone 8?...well i know i'm at the southeastern bottom of Virginia,10-15mins from NC.so i know i should at least be pretty close to the zone 8 border.Want to give THANK YOU'S to all who welcomed me!
