Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Hello farmers. I have finally learned to use my digital camera and get pictures posted. Brace yourselves, you will probably see a lot of them.
This is Newt, used-to-be Tommy, who showed up here about a year ago full grown and friendly. He follows me way out into the fields meowing whenever he sees me walk out there and of course I have to stop and pet him. According to the bathroom scale he is 13 pounds of loveable cat. Lisa, that shiney thing with the handle next to the cat is a snow shovel. I thought maybe you hadn't seen one, he he he.
This morning I went out and took pictures of the sunrise. If you want to see go to the photo forum. There is another one there of a sunset, and one of a rock jack that might interest you farmers. This picture thing is fun!
Today I went to town and took the camera along, guess what? the memory is full. Hope there are some good ones. I braved a cold wind to get them, once tried to steady the camera against a sign post but it was shaking like a leaf in the wind and I decided shakey me was less wiggly by far. I got them in between wind gusts and then retreated back to the pickup.
In the couple hours of daylight I have left I can get quite a bit added to the compost pile, so off I go.
Have a great evening everyone, count your blessings.
