Is that picture touched up in any way? I can't imagine 4:00's with such a natural color - it's beautiful!
Dave
Hi Dave,
This is an untouched photo, the most I ever do is sharpen a picture. This plant(s) grows in the shade under a hedge. If it comes back or has reseeded would you like some? There are birds nesting in the hedge right now but I can at least see if the plants are coming back.
Stacey
Sure, I'd take some seed! I have some white four o'clocks that I'm growing this year - if they give seed we can make a Miribilis trade. :)
Let me know how this goes.
best,
dave
Do you want the red/yellow bicolor 'Broken Colors' as well? I have some of this spring's seedling plants that need to be dug up if you are interested.
Thanks for the offer - I'll turn it down. I've seen those broken colors before, and while they are indeed beautiful, I prefer the solid colors. I currently have yellow, red (a deep magenta) and white. Your lavendar/blueish/purple bloom looks like the perfect addition that I need. :)
If you plant yours close enough together you'll have your own 'broken color' hybrids! LOL
True enough! I'm not growing reds this year (I lost my only plant and haven't sown any new seeds yet). The whites are in the veggie garden (kill the junebugs) and the yellows are along a 500' line bordering the northwest property line. They haven't even germinated yet!
Beautiful Ray! You sure have a lot of colors, some I've never seen before
Stacer, don't kid poor Dave - you KNOW you re-touch your pictures with a paint brush and crayolas!!!!
LOL Jo! I love that 64 pack of crayons!
Hi,
I'm looking for the melon colored, light pink and also lilac colored four o'clock seeds. I have plenty of the magenta ( hot pink/reddish color.) And some yellow, although not enough yellow to trade yet., but plenty magenta.
I also have some orchid tree seeds, purple with magenta stripes. I have pics of them. They germinate very easily and I would trade those for some silk tree seeds and four o'clock seeds in the colors I mentioned. I also have some mexican petunia seeds.( the non invasive type.) and Katies Dwarfs mexican petunia seeds in pink, purple and white, and also the tall pink chi, chi mexican petunia. The bad thing about the seeds though, is they are mixed all together, so it would be a surprise what you'd get. I have pics of those too at http://photos.yahoo.com/windyrr2
Thanks Cheryl
